About the Role
We’re seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to support our operations in Milnerton. This hands-on position is critical to ensuring smooth warehouse operations, accurate stock handling, and timely distribution. As a vital team member, you’ll help deliver exceptional service by maintaining high standards of efficiency, accuracy, and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods
- Preparing orders for dispatch, including picking, packing, and labeling
- Conducting regular stock counts and assisting with inventory reconciliation
- Ensuring the warehouse is clean, organized, and adheres to safety standards
- Collaborating with team members to load and unload vehicles as needed
- Operating basic machinery (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and responsibly
- Supporting quality control processes and reporting any inconsistencies
- Assisting with returns, exchanges, and credits as they arise
- Performing miscellaneous warehouse duties to support daily operations
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
Minimum Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12) qualification
- 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or stock control role
- Familiarity with inventory systems and stock management processes
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Physically fit, with the ability to handle manual tasks and moderate lifting
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Basic IT literacy for handling inventory systems
- Good command of English, both written and verbal
- Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to communicate effectively
- A proactive, self-motivated, and responsible work ethic
- Reliable and punctual
- Willing to undergo relevant background checks as required
